James “Matthew” Robinson, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, in Centerton, Arkansas. He was born on May 30th, 1974 in Anderson, SC and grew up living in various places across the united states such as Machias, Maine, Laurinburg, NC and Rock Hill, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry; his mother, Patricia and his brother Jacob.
Matthew attended Clemson University and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Business Administration with Computer Science. He worked as a Category Manager at Fishin’ Co. in Bentonville, Arkansas. Matthew enjoyed running, traveling, trying new foods and spending time with his family.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Marta; and his children: Parker, Ian and Emilia.
Matthew will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his kindness, his love for his family and friends, capturing moments on pictures and videos and telling his childhood stories.
Friends and family of Matthew are invited to reminisce and share moments together at his Celebration of Life, beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services, located at 378 Charlie Brown, Burnsville, NC 28714.
