Robert Ernest “Ernie” Treadway II, age 57, of Burnsville, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Born on April 6, 1969, in Erwin, Tennessee, Ernie was the son of the late Robert Ernest Treadway and Anita Edwards Treadway. He spent much of his working life in the restaurant industry as a cook, where he enjoyed serving others through his work.
Ernie had a passion for NASCAR racing and loved listening to country music. He enjoyed the excitement of race day and the simple pleasures of life spent with family and friends. He will be remembered for his easygoing nature and the memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Alexander Treadway of Houston, Texas, and Nathan Treadway of Whiteville, Virginia; his sisters, Melinda Peek and husband, Dennis, of Jacksonville, Florida, Lisa Halker of Florida, and Janet Ray and husband, Phillip, of Burnsville, North Carolina; and numerous extended family members and friends.
No services are planned at this time.
