Ronald Stamey

With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Ronald Stamey, who went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2026, at the age of 82.

Ronald was a devoted Christian man who loved God and cherished his family above all else. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and the love he shared with them will live on through the many memories they made together.

Ronald enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and watching ballgames. Whether he was enjoying time outdoors or surrounded by his loved ones, he treasured every moment spent with the people who meant so much to him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Ingrid Stamey; his mother, Elva Stamey; his father, Monie Stamey; and his brother, Maynard Stamey.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Denise Mode and her husband, Raymond, and Sonny Stamey and his wife, Georgia; his grandchildren, Raymond Mode Jr., and Hannah Burleson and her husband, Nathan; and his six great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Kaylee, Mason, Samuel and his father, Chris, Desmond, and Felicity.

Ronald’s love for his family, his Christian faith, and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace and reunited with his beloved Ingrid in Heaven.

Until we meet again, may you rest in the loving arms of our Lord. You will forever be loved and never forgotten.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Blue Ridge for the loving care, kindness, and compassion they showed Ronald and his family during this difficult time. Your support and dedication will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Services will be held Friday, September 25th, 2026, at Pine Branch Baptist Church with visitation from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

May God comfort all who mourn his passing and bring peace to the hearts of his family and friends.
