Mario Alfred Baccoli, age 95, of Weaverville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 at the Yancey House. Mario was born in Jackson, NJ to the late Anderw and Amelia Baccoli. He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Curtis Hughes. Mario was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed making bird houses.
Surviving is his loving wife, Pat Briggs Baccoli; step-children: Christie Rocha (Brian) of Burnsville and Louie Hughes of Asheville; special step-granddaughter, Lilee Rocha and step-grandchildren: Bradley Tipton and Ashley Hughes; sister, Enes Mulhearn of New York, NJ; special nephew, John Monforte and special niece, Linda Monforte. Several other extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Mike Thomas and John Monforte will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pine Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
