Yes, a revaluation is a system that’s unavoidable and we all know what the outcome of this revaluation is going to look like. But it wouldn’t be so bad if us as taxpayers knew our hard earned money wasn’t going to be wasted. Our tax dollars every year goes to pay employees who’s never in the office when they should be and when us taxpayers need them the most (and yes I understand life happens, but coming in late and leaving early everyday is inexcusable), county employees driving around county vehicles everywhere they please (using the vehicles for their own personal use, taking their families out to eat after work hours in those county vehicles and transporting family members from Point A to Point B during work hours), repairs to a park that floods every couple of years no matter what preventives is made, funding a community resource center that was suppose to already break ground, and fund a lettuce farm that was already suppose to broke ground a few years ago. I’m sure we’re not the only county that has problems like these and won’t be the last and I appreciate the fact that our tax rate is low compared to other North Carolina counties but when our tax dollars isn’t showing any results then you start to question our county administration and leaders and it makes one really wonder where that money is going and being used for.
