The Cochrane Review tells us two important things. First, there have been very few high-quality studies examining the effectiveness of masks during the COVID pandemic, and second, from the little high-quality data we do have, we don’t see large impacts of masking in preventing viral infections on the population level. This doesn’t mean masks don’t protect individuals. But it could mean THE WAY masks ARE USED at the population level is not effective. The problem isn’t that anything is or isn’t suppressed on Twitter, the problem is that a bunch of people who don’t how to read research or what it means or who are politicizing everything are arguing about it on Twitter. Face the fact that who did or did not lie to who has nothing to do with what you read on Twitter. No one is considering masking anyone’s children at this juncture. Some people are still trying to figure out how to protect people at greatest risk who are still dying unnecessarily in higher numbers in rural areas like ours. https://dailyyonder.com/covid-
