The Yancey County Sheriff’s Office says nothing has been found after they received a report of a possible glider plane crash in the South Toe Area yesterday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office shared in a Facebook post that the department had been made aware of a report of a possible glider that had gone down in the South Toe area of the county. However, after an extensive search that included an aerial search using a drone as well as assistance from a MAMA helicopter, there was nothing located.
