Margaret Renfro, age 78, of Hillside Drive in Spruce Pine, the Beaver Creek community, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at her home.
Born on April 7, 1944 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Pitman. In addition to her parents; she was also preceded in death by her sisters; Loretta Bennett and Norma Jean Maskell.
Margaret was a C.N.A. until retirement and then she worked providing in home nursing. She loved watching T.V. and her favorite programs were watching soap operas and Touched by an Angel. She enjoyed being outdoors, outdoor flowers and spending time with all of her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters; Marsha Pitman and husband, Lodie of Spruce Pine and Lisa Cooke and husband, Monroe of Mountain City, TN; her brother; Tommy Pitman and wife, Alma of Spruce Pine; her niece; Misty White and husband, Shawn; her grandchildren; David Wiseman and wife, Marietta, Justin Cooke, Chessnee Wiseman, Cassie Huskins and husband, Cody and Mindy Murphy and husband, Josh; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev’s. Monroe Cooke and Cass Buchanan officiating.
