Look at how fast Yancey County is falling apart. There are no places available for people to live. Now several businesses have shut down.
Don’t dare blame the problems Yancey County is facing on Putin. The problems that Yancey County is facing needs to be addressed at a local level.
The relationship between Biden and Ukraine, is much like Yancey County and the surrounding counties. Not just our president, but our local leaders have sold us out. We need to take care of ourselves before we help others.
With each day passing, things are only getting worse. We need to hold all political leaders responsible.
Many say, “If you don’t like Yancey move away”. I can assure you that if I and many others could, we would move away.
Some say, “We don’t want Yancey turning into another Asheville.” Sorry to bust your bubble, Yancey is on a fast track to be worse than Asheville.
Crime is increasing (especially drug use) , now with no places to live, Yancey will soon be full of tent cities fueled by drugs.
Think about this as you stroll around the square, stepping in dog waste will be the least of your worries. You will soon be dodging needles and human waste.
Is this the Yancey County you want for yourself and family?
We can still be a small sweet county and also be industrious.
