Elizabeth ‘Diane’ Brady, age 74, of Alton Palmer Road, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at Mission Hospital.
A native of High Point and resident of Avery County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Yandell Grant. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Adam Richard Brady, and a sister, Angela Maloy.
Diane attended Curtis Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and working in her flowers, but her favorite pastime was going fishing with her grandchildren. She was an LPN for a number of years and loved taking care of others, and welcomed everyone with open arms. Diane never saw the bad in anyone; she always saw the good.
Surviving is her loving husband of 57 years, Tony Richard Brady; two daughters: Elizabeth Renee Wells (Steve) of Florida and Tammy Isaacs (Jim) of Crossnore; a son, Tony Brady II “Gizzard” (Stella) of Spruce Pine; 16 grandchildren: Elizabeth Hoilman (Chad), Edith Shepherd (Michael), Audrey Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Andrina Isaacs, Amber Khouri (Rob), Alex Isaacs, Andrew Isaacs, Kesha Young, T.J. Ollis, Jackson Ollis, Nathaniel Brady, Nicholas Brady, Noah Brady, Neomiah Brady and Neveah Brady; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Grant and Teresa Grant; and a brother, Earl Grant (Carolyn). She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26th, in Curtis Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Aaron McKinney will officiate. Private burial will be in the Brady Family Cemetery.
