North Carolina State Superintendent Catherine Truitt will be touring Yancey County Schools on Thursday, May 11th. Truitt’s schedule includes a visit to Blue Ridge Elementary School between 8 and 9 am, Mayland Community College’s Yancey Learning Center from 9:15 to 10:15 am, Mountain Heritage High School from 10:30 to 12:30. From 1:30 to 2:30 pm State Superintendent Truitt will be at Micaville Elementary School and from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at East Yancey Middle School.
