Neighbors Feeding Neighbors Food Ministry Needs Your Help

For the first time ever, the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors Food Ministry had to close our doors for several days last week after running out of food. The shortage is due to increasing numbers of families needing food and decreasing supplies.

To help meet the need, we’re asking the community to donate food and/or funds. We’re also working to purchase more food and grow more partnerships with ministries that donate supplies of food.

Neighbors Feeding Neighbors continues to provide community meals, free of charge and open to anyone, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-6 PM, until the food runs out. We also staff our food pantry on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 AM-5 PM and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM-12 noon, or until supplies run out. Our address is 14 Jacksontown Road, Spruce Pine, NC, 28777.

Neighbors Feeding Neighbors Executive Director Amy Hoilman says, “Our hearts break for the hungry in our area. We’re doing everything we can to provide for their needs, but those needs are growing. In fact, some people who used to donate to us are now in need of our services to feed their families. We ask the community to help us meet these needs and bless the hungry.”
