Tickets for the 2023 MPQG Opportunity Quilt are now available on the website, mountainpiecemakersquiltguild.org. Tickets can also be purchased from MPQG members and local quilt shops. The quilt will be available to see at local quilt shops and festivals this summer and will be drawn for following Veterans Day ceremony in November 2023.
The quilt is from the pattern, For the Love 0f Quilting designed by Denise Stack. It is a beautiful traditional pieced queen size quilt in primarily reds, white and blues. Bee Log Art Quilts did the custom quilting. Pictures are available on the website as well as access to pay through Paypal. No Paypal account is required for purchasing online.
The funds raised are used by the Mountain Piecemakers Quilt Guild for our community service projects. Patriotic quilts are presented at the Veterans Day ceremony to approximately 50 veterans from Yancey, Mitchell and Madison counties. We also promote quilting through our local quilt show Aug 4-5 inside the Town Center main room. Our Linus quilt program provides quilts to area agencies that serve children in need. Consider supporting our programs by purchasing tickets for our opportunity quilt.
