Public Notice–Relocate Endoscopy Facility

Endoscopy Center of North Carolina LLC and Entero-Med LLC have filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to relocate The Endoscopy Center in Asheville and develop three new gastroenterology endoscopy rooms, for a total of eight GI endoscopy rooms.

Five endoscopy rooms will be relocated from The Endoscopy Center on Biltmore Avenue in Asheville and three GI endoscopy rooms will be added to develop a new ambulatory surgical facility on Sweeten Creek Road.

The project is expected to cost $8.8 million and would be completed in October 2024.

A public hearing for this project will be held July 17 at 1 p.m. in the Ferguson Auditorium of AB-Tech Community College, 340 Victoria Road in Asheville.

Anyone may file written comments concerning this proposal. Comments must be received by the Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section no later than 5 p.m. on July 3.
