Stewart Lee McCurry, age 64, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Alvin McCurry and Dorothy Hensley McCurry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry McCurry.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife, Regina Ann McCurry; son, Christopher (Emily) McCurry; brother, Alvin (Peggy) McCurry, Jr.; sisters: Elizabeth Blankenship, Carolyn Wilson and Freda Robinson; and one grandchild, Emma Grace McCurry.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 5th in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to service time. Ray Lane will officiate.
