An individual citizen with a camera is not “the press” any more than one with a hammer is a builder, with or without “credentials.” That said, in my opinion, individual citizens have every right to have a camera in a public place. I do take issue with some of what is going on in some places …no idea if it’s happening here… where people go into civic offices and harass or threaten public servants on camera, getting in the way of them doing their jobs, or intimidating them, then posting those videos and pictures trying to get others to harass, intimidate or threaten the public servants. That said, this series of posts started about and was referencing Monday’s meeting and access to it. We have access to that meeting via live stream and recording.
