Cameras actually do lie and are often not operated by a human being. Sometimes the medium really is the message despite whoever is operating the camera. Multiple perspective do help enormously. Lots of people on the mainstream media are not journalists, just like people with an opinion on youtube aren’t. There is a difference between opinions, editorials, and fact-based news coverage. The mainstream media has regrettably done too little of the latter in recent times, instead opting for what sells, opinions, fact-based or not. I never said and do not believe or think the media, mainstream or not have more rights than We the people, all of the people. They don’t. I still do take issue with some of what is going on in some place where people, media, journalists or not, go into civic offices and harass or threaten public servants on camera, getting in the way of them doing their jobs, or intimidating them, then posting those videos and pictures trying to get others to harass, intimidate or threaten the public servants.
