Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre is thrilled to present the bluegrass musical, Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge this month!
Did you enjoy Bright Star at SART in 2019? Then you’re going to love this incredible musical based on the Irish classic, Playboy of the Western World. Written by Peter Mills and Cara Reichel, this story has been transplanted from rural Ireland to 1930s Appalachia and set to a bluegrass score.
The Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge is a coming-of-age story about a slapdash murder, a whirlwind romance, and a most unlikely hero. Showing at Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre July 20-30, 2023.
