Jerry V. Hefner age 71 of Upper Hanging Rock Road in Spruce Pine passed away Friday July 21, 2023, at his home. Born in McDowell County he was a son of the late Leonard and Mary Faith Letterman Hefner.
Jerry served in the US Airforce, attended St. Lucien Catholic Church and was a member of Vesper Lodge #554 AF & AM in Spruce Pine. Jerry was the owner and operator of Hef’s on lower street, he loved spending time at the restaurant and also spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Jason Hefner and wife Angie, Dustin Hefner and wife Janet and Levi Hefner all of Spruce Pine, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a brother Dennis Hefner and wife Elaine of Waynesville, NC and their children.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Saturday July 22, 2023, at Webb Funeral Home and a graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm in the Spruce Pine Memorial cemetery with Rev. Alvin Carpenter officiating, with Masonic Rites given by Vesper Lodge and Military Honors given by the Sgt. EL Randolf Chapter 57 of the Disabled American Veterans.
