So reportedly at least 8 teachers have left MHHS since the end of the school year for teaching positions elsewhere. Most of them have gone to neighboring counties. This is a on going problem in this county because of the school board playing politics with staff. Neighboring counties are reaping the rewards of this folly. We the people in Yancey county need to wake up and put a stop to this. How you say ? Simple vote members of the school board out we they come up for reelection. We can not continue to lose really good and highly qualified educators because they are not of the same political party or share the same views. Sooner or later our children or going to suffer.
