Martha Faye Hoyle, age 80 of East Valley Road in Spruce Pine passed away Tuesday August 15, 2023, at her residence.
Born in Burke County, NC she was the daughter of the late Melvin C. and Vivian Love Melton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert “Bud” Hoyle and Henry Hasting, a daughter, Linda Pearson and a son Sandy Ray.
Martha was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Casar where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed embordering, crocheting, working puzzle books and studying her Bible.
She also loved to work in her garden and flowers and her dog Little Bit.
Left to cherish her memories is her son Donnie Allen Hoyle of Spruce Pine, daughters, Mary Ellen Greene and husband David of Spruce Pine, Evelyn Lovenia Gongaware and husband Dana of Asheboro, NC, Peggy Christine Holtzclaw and husband Gene of Casar, NC and Bertie Lee Hoyle of Morganton. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Hoyle will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday August 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Silver and the Rev. Adam Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private inurnment will be held in the First Broad Cemetery in Golden Valley, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Webb Funeral Home 128 Roan Road Spruce Pine, NC 28777 to help the family with funeral expenses.
