The Democratic Party of Mitchell, Yancey, and Avery Counties is hosting a Unity Picnic at Riverside Park (305 Tappan Avenue) in Spruce Pine, NC from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023.This family-friendly event is free and ALL ARE WELCOME!
The keynote speaker for the picnic will be North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton, 26, who is the youngest party chair in the country. She aims to reconnect with rural voters and engage the younger generation. In addition to Chair Clayton, there will be an opportunity to meet other statewide candidates while enjoying food, music, fun, games, and a raffle!
