The Altapass Convenience Center has now re-opened. It has been closed since a fire occurred in the cardboard bundling area on August 21st at 7:45 pm. One week later the facility has re-opened to accept household garbage items as of noon today, and will be back on schedule to take items on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Altapass location will not be open Wednesday, August 30, which is a regularly-scheduled close day. It will resume regular operation on Thursday, August 31st.
Additional information about Center operations will be coming after assessments on damage to the baler and recycling operations are completed.
