I wouldn’t call it common sense I would call it stupidity .You said if you live outside the city limits that you can vote for Town Council so the person should be able to be on the ballot-not just town residents. What are they afraid of? Are they saying- If you don’t live in the town limits you are not going to be on the ballot (stupidity)-does that make any sense? That is what they are telling the one wanting to run on the ballot . You should be able to run for any office(town council, commissioner, etc) if you are American citizen in these counties whether you live in town or not. A lot of these stupid rules and ordinances are trying to overrule the Constitution .Don’t come to town if your skin color isn’t correct- does this make sense? It isn’t commonsense if it violates someone’s Constitutional rights. Why don’t you say something about the Constitution-it was written for all not just for town residents-that’s commonsense .
