What amazed me the most about the library meeting is the fact that most of the public comments were from people who moved here. Hmmmm, wonder why they left the places they left behind and came to a county that is majority Republican/Conservative, and Christian! Now, they bring the same ideology here and expect people to change to their ideological lunacy. If you are ashamed to be a resident here, you are free to move.
I applaud the commissioners for finally standing up and doing something about the library. As far as Amber and her statistics last night, if the county residents had to vote about a pride display at their library on a ballot, the collective community would speak for itself, not just her BIASED echo chamber community.
I don’t see any crosses or a Christian flag at the library, should I feel unwelcome? Does that make me feel like I have no rights asks am not being included? No, it’s a ridiculous argument. Gay and trans people have all the rights they fought for. All you’re doing pushing it down everyone’s throat is putting those rights at risk. That community sees that danger and that is why a large portion of the LGB is wanting to disassociate with the TQ.

There is no other reason this is happening other than grooming children going on here. They may not realize that is what these displays are about, but they should get out of their echo chamber and look at the other side in the LGBTQ community itself and the fight against ask this shenanigans. The ignorant argument that this is a right wing, white, Christian, bigoted conspiracy is ludicrous at best.
A pride display is political, it is pushing an agenda targeting children and should be stopped. Pride has always been political, so the argument it isn’t goes against its own history.
“Since its beginning, Pride has been a political event. And although it may feel like a party today, protests have always been embedded in its very reason for existing. Pride has always been a protest against unjust systems, even when it’s lighthearted and fun.“
