Joann Dougan Davis of Spruce Pine NC passed away on September 29th, 2023 in Spruce Pine, NC. She was born February 12th, 1934 in Derry, NH.
Joann grew up in Derry and in 1956 married Clyde Davis her high school sweetheart. They raised their family in Derry before moving to Spruce Pine in 1977.
Joann was a fiery and independent soul and loved her family. Once married, her work was taking care of the home and raising four rambunctious children. The pork pies, spice cakes and homemade fudge will be greatly missed.
Joann is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Davis Jr., her parents and her siblings.
Joann is survived by her children: Clyde Davis and wife, Stephanie, of Mt Holly, NC, Lisa Davis and husband, Rod, of Calico Rock, AR, David Davis and wife, Pam, of Lexington, VA and Kelley Braithwaite of Spruce Pine, NC as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no service.
