Homeowners, in Western North Carolina, in need of septic repairs may qualify for a new grant program that covers all repair costs.
Local environmental nonprofit group MountainTrue is partnering with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to provide septic repair grants to qualifying homeowners in Buncombe, Henderson, Mitchell, Transylvania, Yancey and Madison counties.
Recipients must meet specific income requirements. The property must be a single-family residence which is owner-occupied.
