Kathy Willis, age 66, of Rabbit Hop Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Green’s of Spruce Pine.
Born on May 10, 1957 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Naomi Sizemore Willis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Eric and Jay Willis.
Kathy was a member of the Big Crabtree Baptist Church.
She loved being at home and spending time with her family.
She enjoyed playing cards with her family and in her spare time she loved to read.
She also enjoyed cooking and baking delicious pumpkin and apple stack cakes.
Left to cherish her memory is her grandchildren; Emily Wantz and husband, Kevin McGrew of Spruce Pine, Gabe Willis and wife, Chloe of Canton, NC and Karoline Willis of Spruce Pine; her great granddaughter; Paislee McGrew of Spruce Pine; her sisters-in-law; Juanita Willis and Linda Willis both of Spruce Pine; her niece, Mitzi Buchanan and her nephew; Jason Willis.
Private graveside services and inurnment will be in the Big Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Rathbone officiating.
