I personally would have no problem with a library without displays as long as there was no removal of books that have been displayed. I think I may be in the minority among my peers in that opinion. Lots of rural libraries in this world have no space for displays. Yancey County is blessed with a wonderful facility that can accommodate displays, but I wouldn’t miss ‘em if they were gone. Apolitical, unbiased, truly neutral? Good luck with that. No such thing. Nice fantasy, though, I guess. Get a dictionary and do some reading. There may have a book or two that will be helpful in the library. What you are talking about with flags and displays isn’t gaslighting nor hypocrisy. No one is shoving anything down anyone’s throat.
