Brenda Gail Murphy, age 58, of Ferguson Hill Road went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Fort Gordon, GA, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Margaret Hitson Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Elizabeth Silvers and grandparents: Eckard and Nettie Murphy and Leonard Hitson and Beulah Taylor Hitson.
Brenda was an adventurous, outdoor lady that rode motorcycles, went kayaking, zip lining and white-water rafting.
Brenda’s love was her family, especially her grandchildren and her little dog Ali.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: David “Alan” Silvers (Monica) of Burnsville and Jamie Hall (Travis) of Bristol, TN; grandchildren: Eli, Zack, and Warren Hughes all of Johnson City, TN and Jacob and Cooper Ledford of Burnsville; brother Michael Eckard Murphy (Paula) of Little Rock, AR, as well as several other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 17th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Rev. Tommy Murphy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
