An investigation is underway after a Marion man was robbed at gunpoint by juveniles. The Marion Police Department is reporting the incident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 25, around 5 p.m.
A man and a juvenile were in the parking lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement on Highway 70 when they were approached by a juvenile male. There was a verbal exchange, and money was voluntarily given to the juvenile male.
The victim then told police that two other males exited a vehicle with firearms and demanded more money. The victim complied, police say, and the males left the parking lot in a dark colored SUV.
Afterward, the victim called 911 and followed the suspect vehicle.
The pursuit by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office ended in Buncombe County, where four juveniles were taken into custody.
Marion police say the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time by the department.
