To quote Ronald Reagan, “There you go again.” The implied intimidation of a threat has everything to do with invoking the use of duct tape. It doesn’t even matter if the person doing it doesn’t understand that kind of dog whistle and is just parroting what they have heard or seen written. But the story of the robber and the Congressman has nothing to do with that. Changing the subject doesn’t change the reality.
