Living in Reality

You are a student who studied hard and made good grades all through middle school and high school hoping and working very hard for a college scholarship because your parents can’t afford to send you and they were smart enough to tell you the world of competitive sports is always changing and few people make it to the top. You get that college scholarship, you work your brain constantly, studying, staying in top mental and intellectual health. You’re not really sacrificing, though, because you are curious and love to learn, you’re just working hard. Now you’re doing well, helping your family, still working hard, accomplishing things and all anyone around you wants to talk about is what’s fair to people whose parents didn’t have the sense and foresight to tell them that the world of competitive sports is always changing and very few people make it to the top.
