You really need to do a lot MORE research on detransitioners and those of them who are appalled at how young ones are being used by the far right to make and score political points. You are soooooo way out of touch with what’s truly happening to our youth. Your “starting points” need to continue to the real people who have lived through things including being taken advantage of in this way, real people with real stories about how they and now their friends and people younger than they are being used by the right wing propaganda machine. Real people who have detransitioned and not afraid to tell their REAL stories about what’s REALLY going on with people trying to keep kids from getting the help and support they need. I, personally, have been involved in protesting our government’s involvement with Saudi Arabia and the whole range of atrocities that government imposes on all kinds of citizens including LGBTQ people since the 80s. That’s when I met a bunch of Saudi princes who called me “big mouthed American woman.” Yep, that’s me. I stopped being involved with the kinds of consumerist practices that promote forms of slavery since the 70s. Yes, there is a lot of evil in this world and in this country. Part of the way I fight it is responding to the people who are promoting it, including right here in our community on anonymous forums. That way they don’t get to spread misinformation, disinformation and evil unchallenged. No thanks necessary! I don’t do it for you or to you.
