The grandma I just got off the phone with is trying to understand and support her grandchildren. She suggests if you want to do the same you should listen more and stop being so obsessed with gender, names and pronouns. She says she’s learned that compared to prior generations these kids are so smart, compassionate and aware of what’s going on around them. She is proud of them for being willing to be who they are and support their friends even when it “offends” you because you see it as “demands.”
