Gregory “Greg” Sanford, age 71, of Banner Elk, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at his home.
A native of Drexel Hill, PA, he was a son of the late Tom and Molly McLaughlin Sanford. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Michael Sanford.
Greg graduated from Upper Darby High School just outside of Philadelphia, PA in 1970. He loved hunting in his younger years, and was always an avid sports watcher, especially professional football.
Surviving are his three children: Nikki King of New Jersey, Elizabeth Scheibe of Pennsylvania, and Anthony Sanford of New Jersey; five grandchildren; sister, Mary Elizabeth Bahnline of Sterling Heights, Michigan and brother, The Rev. Thomas John Sanford, Jr., of Mebane, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
