Claudine Grindstaff Biddix, age 84, of Dale Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Green’s of Spruce Pine.
Born on September 8, 1939 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Gladys Graybeal Grindstaff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Biddix, who passed away in 1982. Also preceding her in death was her son, Danny Ray Biddix and her brother, Bob Grindstaff.
Claudine was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Baxter Healthcare. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and investing in those people that she loved. She was a master at playing with playdough and cards with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter; Suzsan McKinney and husband, Daniel of Spruce Pine; her daughter-in-law; Sue Biddix of Spruce Pine; her granddaughters; Haley Gowdy and husband, Steve of Boone and Kylie Bolick and husband, Ben of Boone; her grandsons; Josh Biddix and wife, Chantel of Spruce Pine and Justin Biddix and wife, Anthea of Bakersville; her great grandchildren; Eli, Emmie, Ellabree, Aubree, Holden, Liam and Ellie; her twin sister; Claudette McHone of Spruce Pine; her sisters; Della Owens of Easley, SC and Betty Glenn of Easley, SC; her brother; Butch Grindstaff of Spruce Pine; her Dale Road Girls; special friend, Nancy Burleson; and several nieces and nephews.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Grassy Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church with the Reverands Andy Willis and Ben Bolick officiating. Interment will be in the Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations to; Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777 or your local food pantry.
The family would like to extend a ‘Special Thank You’ to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge and to the Care Givers at the Green’s of Spruce Pine for their care of Claudine.
