Yes, let’s not just live in reality, but be accurate when explaining it. The Vet who posted didn’t even imply that he or she thinks that “shootings are the only violent crime that results in murder.” All the “research” that isn’t actually that is assuming no one can walk and chew gum at the same time. Common sense gun laws, and better firearms education and safety programs do not preclude addressing economic inequity, domestic violence, or any other factors that cause death, including murder. I mean, how ignorant …as the poster calls it… is the ranting to argue a point not even in the conversation? Personally, I think that kind of thing comes from reading and listening to too many “experts” …who aren’t actually all that expert… setting up straw men to fight with and about. The question in my mind still is, are the posters doing this ignorant and should they be pitied for falling for this stuff, or are they the perpetrators trying to get others to fall for this stuff? No idea.
