Personally, I think an awful lot of people are reacting without thinking, fighting without purpose. I agree that the person who cautions about the food supply has a point, just not that the nutty politicians in Tennessee are dealing with that in an informed or smart way. But the person who is lecturing about “how things work” seems to need to be a bit more observant and informed, including about the history and philosophy of science and the relationship of research scientists to government historically before making never-statements about what’s insane.
