Friends of the Yancey County Public Library will host guest author Amanda Cleary Eastep on Thursday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at Yancey Library.
Everyone is welcome to attend this presentation by Amanda, who is a Selah award-winning children’s author. Tree Street Kids is her middle grades 8 through 12 series from Moody Publishers.
When she is forced to act like an adult, Amanda edits nonfiction books by grownup authors. She writes in a small cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, but she has lived most of her life in the suburbs of Chicago, the home of the Tree Street Kids.
She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the Kidlit Chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), and the Academy of Christian Editors (ACE, board member).
