You may think that your spouse is the worst cook in America…one Avery County woman is about to find out whether she is. Amber Leverette born and raised in Mitchell County but now from Banner Elk is competing on the Food Network’s TV Show, “The Worst Cooks in America”.
According to the Food Network, Leverette is a successful bartender at Weaverville’s Twisted Laurel, but she’s “a hot mess in the kitchen.” Amber reportedly has ruined Thanksgiving dinner three years in a row.
Worst Cooks in America features Chef Carla Hall facing off against Chef Anne Burrell to see who can transform their team of kitchen disasters into culinary masters.
Amber Leverette may be the recruit who makes the most impressive culinary transformation and wins the $25,000 grand prize during the show’s Sunday, February 28 finale.
