Ron Allen, age 75, of Jacksonville, FL and Burnsville, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at his home in his beloved mountains of Burnsville, NC.
A native of Duval County, FL, he was a son of the late Arthur and Bessie Tompkins Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Nita Jakes Allen.
Ron retired after 36 years with CSX Railroad in their law department. Ron’s humor and positive outlook will be missed by all. He was one of the healthiest people we knew so his sudden death comes as a shock to everyone.
Surviving is his daughter, Tonya Elstein and husband, Andrew, of Jacksonville, FL; son, Chad Rohman of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren: Ila Elstein and Rylan Elstein and a brother, Jimmy Allen of Jacksonville, FL.
A private memorial service will be held later in the summer.
