Melinda Chrisawn, age 56, of Crabtree, passed away on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Keith Gouge of Double Island and Pam Hall Gouge of Bakersville. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Phillip Gouge.
Melinda loved keeping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her father, Keith Gouge and wife, Linda, of Double Island; mother, Pam Hall Gouge of Bakersville; husband, Jimmy Chrisawn; sons: Jon Chrisawn of Bristol, TN and Jacob Chrisawn of Altapass; grandchildren: Carleigh Chrisawn and Jacob Chrisawn; brothers: Tim Gouge of Bakersville, Patrick Gouge of Greensboro and Joseph Gouge of Blue Rock. Several other extended family members also survive.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
