Early Saturday morning The South Toe Fire Department was called to a 2 story house fire on Murphy Branch Road. Newdale, Burnsville and Parkway Fire and Rescue were all called for assistance as well as the NC Forest Service. The home was fully involved and already collapsed when help arrived. There was also a vehicle fire in the driveway. A seven tanker water shuttle operation was used to extinguish the fire as crews had to use over 50,000 gallons of water on the structure.
