Lucy E. Dale

Lucy E. Dale, 86, of Fort Mill, SC, Boca Raton, FL, and Charlotte, NC, passed away on Monday afternoon, the 16th of August, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born the 17th of November, 1934 in Spruce Pine, NC, one of five daughters to the late Coy Wiseman and Lena Ellis Wiseman. Lucy was voted “Most Popular” for the Harris High School Class of 1954.

Lucy worked as a dedicated caregiver for several years and was co-owner of Lu-Beck Catering Company. Her greatest achievements were being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

Lucy was a former member of Thomasboro Baptist Church where she member of the served as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher and was a WMU Director. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte and Lewis Fellowship Class. She also served as a Hospice volunteer.

Lucy was a vibrant, warm and outgoing person. She loved to entertain. She and Harold danced with the Boots and Slippers Square Dancers and loved listening to live music at the Orchard at Altapass.

The Dale family will greet friends 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday evening, the 20th of August, 2021 at Forest Lawn West on Freedom Drive in Charlotte.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, the 21st of August, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Charlotte, 301 S. Davidson St., Charlotte, NC 28202.

A Graveside Service will be held on 2:00 PM on Sunday, the 22nd of August, 2021 at Greenlee Memorial Cemetery in Spruce Pine, NC.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband, Harold Dale of Fort Mill, SC; her two daughters: Paula Dale and her husband, Martin Warner of Swarthmore, PA and Cindy Leatherman and her husband, Mike of Charlotte, NC; three grandsons: Ted Warner of New York, NY, Daniel Leatherman and Jeremy Leatherman both of Charlotte, NC; one sister, June Wood of Waynesville, NC and several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
