Edwin Lemus Silva, age 24, of Burnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at his home. A native of Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mexico, he was a son of Jorge Lemus Sanchez and Adriana Silva Molinero. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Giberto Silva. Edwin was a very intelligent young man who enjoyed running, volunteering at the animal shelter, working on computers and cell phones. He loved playing with kids and was a big hugger.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father are two sisters: Evelyn Lemus Silva and Jamie Lemus Silva both of Burnsville; grandmother, Adela Molinero of Mexico; three aunts: Grace Silva Molinero, Pat Silva Molinero and Gaby Silva Molinero; two uncles: Gilberto Silva Molinero and Javier Escamilla and cousins: Kenia, Paco, Kary, Chris, Sharie, Gil, Jazmin, Abril and Misael.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 23rd in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Father Oscar Rozo will officiate. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 p.m. prior to the services.
