Carolyn Lawrence Riddle

Carolyn Lawrence Riddle of the Grassy Creek community died Tuesday October 26, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Evergreen, AL on October 4, 1929. Her parents were Everett E. Lawrence, Sr. and Dorothy (Dolly) Queen Lawrence, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her brother; Everett E. Lawrence, Jr.

Survivors are her sister; Kay M. Lawrence of Spruce Pine, her niece Lynn Summers (Robert) of Spruce Pine, her great niece; Dana Brown (Thomas) and their children; Marcus and Olivia of Asheville. Also surviving is friend and caregiver, Shannon Kanipe of Spruce Pine.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Spruce Pine where she served on the vestry, Episcopal church women, lay reader, lector, Altar Guild and choir. She most enjoyed singing in the Trinity choir, reading, and gardening.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm. A private family burial will be held in the Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens.
