Twana Blevins, age 64, of Newland, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021.
She was born on April 6th, 1957 in Avery County, a daughter of the late Zeb and Alice Brown Greene.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Zeb Greene, Jr., and a sister, Wilmeta Calloway. Twana enjoyed being outdoors, playing the guitar, and loved fishing and ginseng hunting.
Surviving is her fiancé, David Dockery; daughters: Nancy Benfield (Donald) of Newland and Stephanie Turbyfill (Travis) of Elk Park; step-daughter, Nicole Dyson (Donald Mauldin) of Mount Gilead; step-grandson, Kyler Dyson; sister, Jenena Greene Gordon of Newland and brother, Jesse Greene of Marion. Several other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends also survive.
A memorial service to celebrate Twana’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 27th at Big Meadows Baptist Church. Pastor Keith Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
