Stanley Henry Warzecha

Stanley Henry Warzecha was born on March 23, 1938 and lived in Ludlow, MA for much of his young life. His parents Stanley and Mary Warzecha proceeded him in death.

Stan passed peacefully with wife Veronica and oldest daughter Catherine at his side on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

He joined the Marine Corp in 1955 attaining the rank of Corporal before being honorably discharged in 1959. While in the Marine Corp, Stan met Vera at a local dance. They married 63 years ago in January of 1959.

Stan, Vera and their three children moved to several states over the years, among them Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey and Florida before retiring in North Carolina on his beloved Chestnut Mountain.

Over the years, Stan enjoyed many activities. This included playing clarinet in a polka band as well as becoming an excellent polka dancer. He joined the Dad’s Club as well as the Elks Club in Plantation, FL, rising to become the Exalted Ruler. He grew beautiful orchids while living in Florida and became a lapidary in North Carolina, mining, tumbling and cutting rocks and gem stones found in the area. Stan was an usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burnsville. He loved and enjoyed his wife, 3 children, 5 grandchildren and great-grandson.

Stan is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Vera of Burnsville; daughter Catherine Lenahan and John Page of Chicago, IL; daughter Theresa Wollenschlaeger and husband David of Ocala, FL; son Timothy Warzecha and husband Billy Neighbors of Shanghai, China; grandson Ryan Lenahan and fiancé Megan Miller of Seattle, WA; grandson Marc Wollenschlaeger and Thomas Kester of Washington, DC; grandson Christopher Wollenschlaeger and Alyssa Kersey of Orlando, FL; grandson Matthew Wollenschlaeger, wife Ansley and great-grandson Miles of Orlando, FL; grandson Timothy Lenahan and wife Megan of Denver, CO. Stan will be missed by all.
