Jacqueline Denise Rice, age 68, of the Oakley Community in Asheville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28th, 2022 at The Laurels of Summit Ridge in Asheville, NC.
A native of Dearborn, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice Moss Markle. Her brother, Roger Markle, also preceded her in death.
Jacqueline and her husband, Wayne, enjoyed doing things outdoors and loved the mountains. She also enjoyed doing crafts, and had a great love for animals. More than anything, she and Wayne loved being together.
Surviving is her loving husband of 42 years, Wayne Rice, who considered Jacqueline his dearest friend, an excellent wife, and an all-around great person who will be deeply missed by him. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Terry Rice, and his wife, Beverly, of Mohawk, TN.
A private memorial for Jacqueline will be held at a later date.
